This new requirement was made law by the Florida Legislature for all licensed medical practitioners under Title XXXII, Chapter 456 (.013); see below:

The 2-hour course shall count towards the total number of continuing education hours required for the profession. The course shall be approved by the board or department, as appropriate, and shall include a study of root-cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, and patient safety. 1.)
Q.
Are the courses provided by CEUINC approved by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS)?
A.
Yes, Continuing Education Unlimited is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Program.

2.)
Q.
Is the certificate provided by CEUINC valid for ASCLS P.A.C.E.® credit if I get audited by an agency requiring P.A.C.E.® credits?
A.
Yes, however, it is VERY important that the certificate have both a signature and a colored P.A.C.E. seal on it in order to be valid. If you have printed a black and white certificate from the website, please be sure to request a valid colored seal to affix to the certificate. Certificates printed on a color printer are valid when they have both the electronic signature and colored seal printed on them.

3.)
Q.
I lost my certificate, can I get another one sent to me?
A.
ASCLS P.A.C.E. asks that we do not send out duplicate certificates if someone misplaces their original copy. They do ask, instead, that we send a letter to the licensee stating the dates and the courses that were completed through our agency.

1.)
Q.
What course completion date goes on my certificate?
A.
The date that we receive your answer sheet in our office.

2.)
Q.
I need my certificate dated on a certain date because of a license renewal deadline how can I be sure that this will happen?
A.
Since your certificate is dated on the day that we receive your answer sheet in the mail, you should always allow adequate mailing time, taking into consideration weekends and holidays when we are not in the office. If you need us to grade a certificate by a certain date you can overnight the answer sheet to us or fax the answer sheet to our office. Answer sheets faxed or postmarked after the renewal date will have the received date on them and therefore will be considered late.

3.)
Q.
What score is considered passing?
A.
A score of 70% or higher is considered a passing grade. In the event that you do not pass on your first attempt, you are allowed a second attempt to score a passing grade. If you do not pass on the first two tries, you must order and complete a new course.

4.)
Q.
Can I fax my answer sheet to your office?
A.
To safeguard yourself, it is preferred that you mail in your answer sheets since faxed copies can be of poor quality at times or may not transmit properly. The only exception are those who have already applied to the state for approval for a new Florida license or Florida applicants that are upgrading to supervisor, so that the process can be expedited. **Please note (with the exception of the above two circumstances), that faxing your Scantrons will actually delay processing since they will have to be hand graded.**. If you fall in the above category and are faxing your information, please be sure to include a cover sheet with your contact information (name, phone number and # of pages).

5.)
Q.
Can a course be shared with multiple users?
A.
Yes. If you are sharing a text, one person will buy the complete materials and each of the others will purchase an “answer sheet only” or “online quiz only” packet. Please be sure you have the text and quiz packet if you’re sharing the materials. ** Prices are subject to change, please check before ordering** **Combo courses MUST be ordered as a complete unit when ordering for extra people.**

6.)
Q.
How long will it take for my certificate to arrive?
A.

We can’t give you an exact date when it will arrive because of variations in mail delivery times, however, we ask that you allow 3-4 weeks from the time you mail it to us until your certificate to arrives back in your mailbox. **PLEASE NOTE** our offices are located in an area where we may be affected by hurricanes from time to time. This may delay processing of your certificate during an affected time period.

1.)
Q.
Why won't the website recognize my username and password? I'm typing in the right words.

A.
Be sure that you are typing in the words with small, non-capital letters, since the login site is case sensitive and requires non-capital letters. Also, make sure that you do not put spaces in between the words or numbers (when using multiple words or combinations with numbers in them) as the site cannot recognize spaces.

2.)
Q.
What does it mean that I have two quiz tries left?
A.
When you first enter a course (before you submit any quiz results) you will notice that have "two quiz tries" left (to score a 70% or higher). Once you actually submit your results to be scored, the computer will automatically reset the number of tries that you have left. "Tries" do not register until you actually hit the "Score" button. **Please note that if you submit a second set of quiz results it will delete the first registered score, therefore, it is not recommended that you repeat the quiz unless you did not pass it the first time.**

3.)
Q.
Can I print the quiz out so that I can have it in front of me while I'm reading the material, or will that take away one quiz try?
A.
YES absolutely, you can go in and print out the quiz. The number of quiz tries don't change until you actually enter the results and you hit the "Score" button.

4.)
Q.
Can I print out the reading material?
A.
Yes. Some material is quite long, however, you are welcome to print it out.

5.)
Q.
Is my web generated certificate valid for continuing education credit?
A.
YES, however, it should be noted that the licensing agencies prefer that the certificates are printed in color. *If they are not printed on a color printer and you hold a license outside of the state of Florida, it is very important that you request a colored P.A.C.E. seal for your certificate.*

6.)
Q.
What is a colored P.A.C.E. seal?
A.
ASCLS P.A.C.E. has a different seal each year.......and each year the color changes and is unique for that year. All licensing agencies requiring continuing education, with the exception of Florida, require that you have a valid (colored) P.A.C.E. seal on your certificate. A computer generated seal is now available on the online certificate, but MUST be printed with a color printer to be valid. If your certificate was not printed on a color printer , please request a valid colored seal, from our office for each certificate. *If you have registered for the unlimited web access and will be completing multiple courses, please alert us by email that you will need P.A.C.E. seals mailed to you when you have completed all of your hours for that year.*

7.)
Q.
I closed out the certificate window, but my certificate did not print properly, how can I reprint it?
A.
You cannot reprint the certificate once you close out the certificate window. The site is designed that way on the advice of the licensing agencies for security reasons. Make sure that your certificate has printed properly before closing out that window. **In the event that you have closed the window and your certificate did not print properly, you can email us for a copy, which will be sent to you via US mail.**
